13.12.16 0 Project 4th seminar ended

On 7th of December in European Union house in Riga project 4th seminar "Ecosystem Services evaluation - new approach in territorial planning" took place.

On the 30th of November 2016 the 15th anniversary of LIFE programme in Latvia was celebrated. During the celebration best and most innovative LIFE projects were awarded.

Nature design objects in Saulkrasti town nominated to the environmental initiative "100 works for Latvia".

On 28th of November 2016 project "LIFE EcosystemServices" Steering group meeting occured.

On 3rd of November project representatives gave presentations for PhD students in the framework of course cycle "An Introduction to Ecosystem Service Theory and Practice".

On 28th of October in Saulkrasti town a Saulkrasti Business Advisory Council meeting took part.

On 29th of September in Saulkrasti town an opening event of nature design objects was organized.

A new short film about ecosystem services evaluation has been made. Film is available in latvian language with english subtitles.

Project representatives attended international conference about ecosystem services in Antwerp, Belgium.

In Saulkrasti and Jaunķemeri pilot areas ecosystem services mapping and evaluation has been done.

In the year 2016 project "LIFE EcosystemServices" continued successful cooperation with various educational institutions which has been started in the year 2014.

In the 14th of July representative of project "LIFE EcosystemServices" Mrs. Rita Arāja had a meeting with Europarc Federation Juniorranger programme organizers and participants from all over the Europe.

In Saulkrasti town new nature design objects will take place. At the end of September it is planned to present newly made objects and information stands to the society. An opening event will be organised.

On 7th of May in Ķemeri National Park a Travel day will be organized. You are welcome to participate and explore ecosystem services theme.

On Saturday 23th of April 2016 during the Latvian Clean-up Campaign project "LIFE EcosystemServices" together with the volunteers worked in Jaunķemeri coastal forest and dune area.

On 5th of April in the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the Republic of Latvia project "LIFE EcosystemServices" 3rd seminar was held.

In the framework of the project "LIFE EcosystemServices" a new brochure has been made.

Project “LIFE EcosystemServices” representatives on 4th of February participated in the University of Latvia 74th conference.

On 20th of January 2016 Saulkrasti Municipality has announced procurement of the project "LIFE EcosystemServices" about nature design objects conception creation.

On the 29th of January 2016 in the Nature Conservation Agency of Latvia headquarters project "LIFE EcosystemServices" Steering Group meeting took place.

During the year 2016 at the Saulkrasti town an unusual nature design objects will be established. Important investment in the object conception creation is given by students.
