On the 28th of November 2016 in Nature Conservation Agency of Latvia headquarters project "LIFE EcosystemServices" Steering Group meeting took place. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the Republic of Latvia, Nature Conservation Agency of Latvia, Saulkrasti Municipality and the association "Baltic Coasts".

During the Steering Group meeting project "LIFE EcosystemServices" manager Inga Hoņavko presented to the audience all completed activities of year 2016 and set project priorities for the year 2017 and 2018.

During the year 2017 and 2018 main priority is to develop reccomendations based on ecosystem services evaluation methodology. Target audience of reccomendations will be spatial planners of coastal municipalities and other inistitutions, which are involved in territorial planning processes.

Also many educational and informing activities, such as seminars, working group meetings and conference, will take part in the year 2017/2018.

Steering group meeting is organized in the framework of project LIFE13 ENV/LV/000839 "LIFE EcoystemServices" which is implemented by the Nature Conservation Agency of Latvia, association "Baltic Coasts" and Saulkrasti Municipality. Project is co-financed by the European Union and Latvian Environmental Protection Fund.
