Five educational events for development planners on the ecosystem services approach and practical use of it in spatial planning processes were held in February and March 2020. The events were attended by more than 80 participants representing municipalities, state institutions, private sector and spatial planning organizations.

The participants of the events were introduced with recommendations on integrating ecosystem services approach into spatial planning processes, recommendations for the use of ecosystem services approach in elaboration of management plans for Specially Protected Areas, recommendations for development planning in municipalities; and also had a chance to try out the toolkit. The toolkit for the use of ecosystem services approach in planning processes has been worked out to provide practical possibilities of integration of the ecosystem services approach into various levels of spatial management and planning processes.
