Saulkrasti municipality is the first one to receive the price established by Nature Conservation Agency “Ecosystem services”. The prize was officially awarded during the Project “LIFE Ecosystem Services” Conference “Value of Nature – practises and experiences in use of ecosystem services assessment” for initiatives implemented in Saulkrasti region – integration of ecosystem services approach in development planning processes and creation of the Design Park “White Dune”.

According to the Head of Saulkrasti Municipality Normunds Līcis, “this award brings pride and satisfaction on the accomplished and encourages further attempts to do better and more for the quality of Saulkrasti nature values”.
