We kindly ask you to register to project conference "Value of Nature - practices and experiences in use of ecosystem services assessment" by January 3, 2020.

The conference will take place on January 15, 2020 in Riga, Latvia.

Conference Venue: The Academic Center of the University of Latvia, located in Riga, Jelgavas Street 1.

Use of ecosystem services assessment is the way how to show value of Nature – keynote of the LIFE EcosystemServices project conference. Main topics of the conference: 

• perspectives of applying ecosystem services approach in Latvia;
• practices and experiences in development of country - wide ecosystem services assessment;
• economic value of Nature;
• recommendations and practices in use of ecosystem services assessment in planning.

If you would like to share the results of your project during the conference, please apply until December 16 for the poster by sending a short description of the topic to the e-mail ekosistemas@daba.gov.lv !

Ecosystem services as a topic is relatively new for Latvia and actualization of it have been started by several projects implementation.

LIFE EcosystemServices project aim is to promote ecosystem services assessment based planning in Latvia.
