On the 30th of November 2016 the 15th anniversary of LIFE programme in Latvia was celebrated. During the celebration best and most innovative LIFE projects were awarded.

Project "LIFE EcosystemServices" received award as one of three most innovative LIFE programme projects in Latvia. Other two were - "Hydroplan" and "Ķemeru mitrāji" or "The wetlands of Ķemeri"'.

Also the most significant project of the state, the most active project applicant, and the financially and territorially largest LIFE projects were awarded.

In total with LIFE programme financial support 48 projects had been realized in Latvia which together has attracted 32 million euros of LIFE financial support.
