On 29th of September in Saulkrasti town an opening event of nature design objects was organized. Event were widely attended by local inhabitants, representatives of NGOs, Saulkrasti Municipality and Nature Conservation Agency of Latvia.

Nature design objects are made with the aim to foster people to be more aware about the processes in nature as well as to prevent problems caused by huge anthropogenic load. All newly made routes are organising tourist flows with the aim - not to harm local nature values.

Newly made information boards and direction signs will help to find right directions and get information about dunes and other nature treasures.

Nature desgin objects are made in the framework of project LIFE13 ENV/LV/000839 "LIFE EcoystemServices" which is implemented by the Nature Conservation Agency of Latvia, association "Baltic coasts" and Saulkrasti Municipality. Project is co-financed by the European Union and Latvian Environmental Protection Fund.
