Nature Conservation Agency of Latvia, the association "Baltic coasts" and Saulkrasti Municipality in the framework of the project "LIFE EcosystemServices" will shoot three short films about ecosystem services.
Films will be made by the experienced environmental film company "ELM MEDIA". "ELM MEDIA" so far has been made such films as Bog Secrets (2013), Five stories about nature (2009), Life in Swamp (2008), Kurzeme Coastal Stories (2006), Green City (2003), as well as short movies about Latvian nature (2013).
The aim of all three films is to educate various audiences about ecosystem services and ecosystem evaluation principles as well as the benefits of sustainable territorial development planning. All movies will be recorded in Latvian language with English subtitles.
The first films about the ecosystem services will be made at the end of 2015 and will be about 8 minutes long. The next two films will be shot in the middle of 2016 and at the end of 2017 and will be about 5 minutes long. Films will be about ecosystem services evaluation for a sustainable future, as well as about ecosystem services assessment as good tool for territorial development. All three films will be available on the project website.
Short film will be made in the framework of project LIFE13 ENV/LV/000839 "LIFE EcoystemServices" which is implemented by the Nature Conservation Agency of Latvia, association "Baltic coasts" and Saulkrasti Municipality. Project is co-financed by the European Union and Latvian Environmental Protection Fund.
